It is a scam for shore…
Why and how?.. Simply the system does not produce anything. It just takes from one and gives to another. Once new member assignment will decrease – the whole bubble will shrink or blow or simply become less rewarding and not attractive. At this stage new members will be left down.
You don’t have to be mathematician to design such a scheme. Just a lot of love for cash…

I really think you are not getting the real facts! The rewards come from shopping and using the Lyoness CashBack Card. This will give you a maximum 2% cashback which can be deposited direct to your bank account weekly. If the retailer (and most do) has a high CashBack agreed with Lyoness then the amount over 2% will be deposited in a loyality unit. These loyality units are funded by cashbacks coming from the retailers. This loyality unit will mature and make a payment to you. What you need to understand is the real potential. New members are usually let down in a pyramid scheme and Lyoness is NOT a pyramid. Do you think TUV Reinhard are going to put their reputation on the line by approving a pyramid scheme – NEVER NEVER NEVER!
In any case getting more customers by bribing them is the worst what you can imagine. Customer ‘family’ should grow because of quality and good care, not because of bribes!
No point in arguing with people who don’t want to take the time to understand the process. If the one won’t the next will. Lyoness is not a company or system that you understand straight away! Ill be the first to say how against i am with these network marketing schemes but i can tell you this is on going because people WILL NEVER stop shopping. BRILLIANT AND WELL DONE TO THE GUYS FROM LYONESS.

George, Any bad or immoral idea cannot be improved by its better implementation. Compare e.g. to Nazi Death Camps: Neither excellent management nor advanced technologies could remove their deplorable, despicable and contemptible basements.
Dr. Leo you’re an idiot.
How dare you drag my grandparent’s misfortune into this arena as a comparison?
Obviously you have no education, or it was obtained through a Cracker Jack Box.
You sound like the monster that set those wheels into motion so long ago through fear mongering. That ultimately killed off 65% of my family.
You are the poison that is wrong with the world today.
What’s it to you that the average person (not having gone to 14 years of college as I did) can get a small portion of their hard earned money back from making purchases they would make anyway?
I did not think to join this shopping community until I actually read your comments and cannot wait to leave my post in higher learning.
The math makes perfect sense. No saturation of market at all.
It will never bottom out. EVER. Just too many people that will feel as the others have and do around the world.
The only drawback is that it was not originally brought to being here in the US. But that’s okay many great things come from all over the world so why not capitalize on it.
We all spend money and we are motivated by many things. Why not be motivated by getting some of it back. . . Dr. you don’t have a clue.
Sounds good to me.
Please stay away from Northern California and my Stanford campus.
You make me sick.
For those interested in this company I thought what have I got to lose?
(After reading Dr. Leo Moron’s statement I thought this has got to be a good thing). Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!
None of us will ever stop being consumers.
We all are . . . . . part of this.
Thank you mlm big brother you have it right.
Godwin, ftw.
@George
A long essay of random business-english terms written by a brain-washed weak mind. That’s very sad. It nearly sounds like Tom Cruise talking about Scientology. Patetic.
come on people where is the love <3
no hating
A friend of mine thinks about investing in Lyoness. He explained to me what he knows about it, but he still want to gather more informations. When he started explaining to me how it works, I thought “I know this is a scam, but how do they do it?”
From what I know you can make allot of money if you meet certain rules:
– you need to be a person who knows how to sell, to convince other people they will make tons of money. Who knows how to properly hide the risks. You need to make the sell fast. Shortly, you need to know how to bull***t people. You need to be a bit ruthless.
– you need to know many people who are in a certain income level. Not too rich they think is too much work for a small amount of money (compared to their income), but not so poor, so they can spare a few thousand $.
– you need to constantly bring new “investors” to your group. This is also true for the people you bring to the group.
– the people you know need to be like you (see my first three points).
– you need to invest early in this scheme, so you can easily find and convince people to join Lyoness. For example – for you to get back the money you invested, 20 other people need to invest in your binary tree (that only if all of you buy the Gold package, 2000 euro). It is true you will stat having profit after this, but the basic idea is – the last man who joined your tree will have to do the same you did in order to earn some money – find many people willing to “invest”. And I am sure – for every node of the binary tree they pay, at least 12 will remain unpaid (a node can be bougth win x , and Lyoness eventually pays you 12*x).
From what I heard, at their presentation they say something like “everyone wins something, but if you get involved more, you get more money”. My belief is “If some earn allot of money from this, many have to lose (allot of) money”. Let’s face it, no one gives you money just to lay on your couch and watch what’s on Discovery Channel.
The system is very complicated, but for them is bulletproof. There are allot of ways to make money, I cannot describe all of them. They will say that you will get more money as you advance through levels (but this will not be easy or fast, and few get there). Best thing is to go to one of their presentation, to ask question, if possible in groups (find someone you could put in your tree so you can have an advantage if you decide to join) and, most important, always think “I know this is a scam, but how do they do it? Who loses and who wins?”.
After that go home, do the math, don’t do rushed decisions, it is best if you are one of the first ones who invest, but you need to be sure you got what it takes. Try to simulate how it all might work, and always, always push the sceptic side, always question everything, because it is easy to get carried away with the amount money they say you will receive, and the many ways you can make money.
Read again the last paragraph of the article above – read what you need to do. The only part I do not agree with is “Lyoness scam is false”. Lyoness IS A SCAM, just not a scam for everyone who joins it.
I hope next week I will go to one of their presentation, to gather more informations, but I am 99.99% sure I will not invest in this, as I don’t meet any of my rules.
I dont know if its a scam but i think that the bubble will burst sometime that IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS.the two tings that bother me is that the one who signed you up has whole view of your shopping cart(privacy ruined)
and about taxes on the money that comes to your account………just thinking loud
If Lyoness was a scam, how does it come that the US lawsuit has stated Lyoness as a legitimate company? Being allowed in all US States?
Open your minds, people. The current currency is going down. Europe is always ahead of us. If it wasn’t real, why would it still be growing? Scams have a maximum of 1 to 5 yrs. Lyoness is at 9 years.
I am sorry but the idea is bad, even damaging everybody’s interests. It is so because such structure is working against competition. While competition removes bad sellers/goods and supports the good ones, such structure helps those, who bribe their customers instead of those who are good. That’s very unwanted.
Dear Dr Leos,
I don’t really get your point.
Lyoness done far more non profit projects in the last 9yrs see:
most of the other international company int he world.
And any all the other companies using so many different channels to persuade you to believe you need their product.
Is that ethical?
There is a big competition always was and always will.
That’s how the world is works.
Look around and wake up!
While I have not investigated Lyoness I am very familiar with Network Marketing and the various compensations plans. The Binary Plan typically puts you at a disadvantage because you only get paid on part of your entire organization. So in effect, up to half of your business.
Why would you ever want to only get paid on half of your efforts?
You are correct about the disadvantages of binary compensation. Lyoness,as designed, is not a binary program.
Andy, show me any example of job, where you are paid 100% LOL! Half- is excellent reward, comparing to some other fields, where workers are simply reaped off. Or at least the same. I think there is no perfect solution, unless you are on a stranded island, growing crops for your self… Lyoness could reach that saturation point, theoretically, where no new members are accepted any more. And what then? The system will still be working perfectly fine, because everyone is shopping! And those who will be not accepted will start to line up to get in!
Vlad, are you open to the possibility of a huge error in comparing MLM to a job, they are not and thank GOD for that. In a binary you have 2 legs and are paid on the weakest leg and nothing off the stronger leg. What if you had a store front with a very large customer base and half your customers you made nothing and the other half you did? That makes NO sense. Companies use binaries because it is the most profitable for them. Typically it is a structure that is designed for the heavy hitters and sacrifices the part timers, and MLM is made up of 90% part timers. If the part timers are not happy with there income within a certain time it causes them frustration and causes high attrition.
