Why and how?.. Simply the system does not produce anything. It just takes from one and gives to another. Once new member assignment will decrease – the whole bubble will shrink or blow or simply become less rewarding and not attractive. At this stage new members will be left down.
You don’t have to be mathematician to design such a scheme. Just a lot of love for cash…

A long essay of random business-english terms written by a brain-washed weak mind. That’s very sad. It nearly sounds like Tom Cruise talking about Scientology. Patetic.

A friend of mine thinks about investing in Lyoness. He explained to me what he knows about it, but he still want to gather more informations. When he started explaining to me how it works, I thought “I know this is a scam, but how do they do it?”

From what I know you can make allot of money if you meet certain rules:
– you need to be a person who knows how to sell, to convince other people they will make tons of money. Who knows how to properly hide the risks. You need to make the sell fast. Shortly, you need to know how to bull***t people. You need to be a bit ruthless.
– you need to know many people who are in a certain income level. Not too rich they think is too much work for a small amount of money (compared to their income), but not so poor, so they can spare a few thousand $.
– you need to constantly bring new “investors” to your group. This is also true for the people you bring to the group.
– the people you know need to be like you (see my first three points).
– you need to invest early in this scheme, so you can easily find and convince people to join Lyoness. For example – for you to get back the money you invested, 20 other people need to invest in your binary tree (that only if all of you buy the Gold package, 2000 euro). It is true you will stat having profit after this, but the basic idea is – the last man who joined your tree will have to do the same you did in order to earn some money – find many people willing to “invest”. And I am sure – for every node of the binary tree they pay, at least 12 will remain unpaid (a node can be bougth win x , and Lyoness eventually pays you 12*x).

From what I heard, at their presentation they say something like “everyone wins something, but if you get involved more, you get more money”. My belief is “If some earn allot of money from this, many have to lose (allot of) money”. Let’s face it, no one gives you money just to lay on your couch and watch what’s on Discovery Channel.

The system is very complicated, but for them is bulletproof. There are allot of ways to make money, I cannot describe all of them. They will say that you will get more money as you advance through levels (but this will not be easy or fast, and few get there). Best thing is to go to one of their presentation, to ask question, if possible in groups (find someone you could put in your tree so you can have an advantage if you decide to join) and, most important, always think “I know this is a scam, but how do they do it? Who loses and who wins?”.

After that go home, do the math, don’t do rushed decisions, it is best if you are one of the first ones who invest, but you need to be sure you got what it takes. Try to simulate how it all might work, and always, always push the sceptic side, always question everything, because it is easy to get carried away with the amount money they say you will receive, and the many ways you can make money.

Read again the last paragraph of the article above – read what you need to do. The only part I do not agree with is “Lyoness scam is false”. Lyoness IS A SCAM, just not a scam for everyone who joins it.

I hope next week I will go to one of their presentation, to gather more informations, but I am 99.99% sure I will not invest in this, as I don’t meet any of my rules.

I am sorry but the idea is bad, even damaging everybody’s interests. It is so because such structure is working against competition. While competition removes bad sellers/goods and supports the good ones, such structure helps those, who bribe their customers instead of those who are good. That’s very unwanted.

everything costs something (surely logical), and the transfer of money if it is to end up in the control of a lyoness card holder or business partner must come from somewhere (right?), ergo somebody, somewhere is paying for this! and assuredly that person is not going to take the hit, he, she or it will pass on the cost! there is little or no service involved here and assuredly no product, save that of those who join as a business partner and where a company utilises customers or potential customers as sales something is amiss.
Just because we can do something, does not always mean we should!

total scam, you have to work at it as a full time business, only those who succeed in pyramid schemes can make it work. I put money into it, couldn’t sell it to a single person, so I asked my ‘upline’ to sell my units to someone else. She freaked out and set her sicko boyfriend on me and this is the lovely letter I received.

Sandy and I are business partners in Lyoness, so I am replying in her stead. I will address your points below.

In regards to “what was sold to us”, Sandy knows the Lyoness policies very well and all of her recommendations were based on the Lyoness General Terms & Conditions. She works in an open workspace and I overhear her Skype and phone conversations, along with having full access to her email. I am witness to the fact that she never sold you anything that was not in strict alignment with Lyoness’ policies. You had, and still have, full access to this information. The policies around making partial gift card orders was and is very clear. Your plan was to sign up myriad members and receive significant benefit by doing so. From what I have been able to ascertain, you have expended very little effort to build your Lyoness business. You are Independent Business Representatives and you signed up to build a business. In any recommendation style business, one must learn well the program benefits, be prepared mentally and emotionally to have people say “no”, and continue recommending until you succeed. You even have official Lyoness meetings in your area. My understanding is that instead of attending the meeting you had scheduled, you went out and got drunk (you said “pissed”) instead. Have you even utilized the local meetings? Have you learned to use the recommendation tools? With how many people, specifically, have you shared the Lyoness opportunity? Have you learned to address their concerns and provide accurate information so their misconceptions are cleared up and they decide to benefit from the program? The people in the U.K. who do the work and build strong lifelines of members will prosper. Lyoness will certainly do their part. It’s clear to me that you have not done your part.

In regards to “no-one wants to be involved with the scheme”, Lyoness is a worldwide company with over 2.5 million members. It is not a scheme and in due time there will be many members in the U.K. Every country is different and builds at a different pace. Lyoness will take hold in the U.K. and will serve a large number of happy merchants and members.

In regards to “mis-selling a product”, you have no evidence this is the case because your claim is absolutely false, per my comments above. I am not interested in hearing a “victim story” of how you were mislead or receiving from you threats of court action. What is true is that you have not done the work to build YOUR business. Like children, you are whining about this and expecting Sandy to rescue you by selling YOUR units. You are trying to skirt the Lyoness policies to which you agreed when you signed up. Instead, I recommend you take responsibility for your actions and act like adults. You can get moving with your business and your units will hit the finish line. Sandy has been working only a month or two longer than you and the majority of her units have completed and she has benefited for the WORK she has done. Or you can, per the Lyoness policies to which you agreed, both of sound mind, top off the units.

If you choose to build your Lyoness business, Sandy will put your rudeness behind her and support you all the way. She has already dedicated *significant* time and energy trying to help you. But if you send her any further threats, she will forward them to me. She’s a genuinely kind, loving, and helpful person, and doesn’t need the stress of the kind of messages you have been sending her.
